Pen and Ink

Writng a letter is harder to do than you might think. Especially when your recipient has become accustomed to immaculate prose and carefully crafted envelopes.

But it's worth it. Every step: each pen stroke, every fold of paper, every word, each tiny dab of ink on envelope in an attempt to make antique what is fresh and new, every detail is a peice of you, bound together and slapped with a stamp, and then sent down the road or accross the world to give to someone else. A letter is a sacrifice, and there is nothing quite so poetic as dropping one in the post box.

"A letter is a sacrifice." I like that. Cast your bread upon the waters.
