Over the past, oh year and a half, I've been inspired by friends (and blogs) to explore the world of photography. I began armed with my hot pink, 8 megapixel Polaroid digital. Which worked, for a while. At this point, seeing as this is merely a hobby, I don't have the cash to plunk down on a fancy-schmansy high powered digital camera from Canon or Nikon. Frankly, just buying and developing 35mm from WalMart has me stretched pretty thin. So I started exploring further possibilities. A retro plastic Starblitz inspired me to purchase my own tiny plastic camera that barely has an aperture setting from Goodwill, $1.99, and start shooting. The first four photos are from this. The last shot, the tree shot, was taken with my dad's very old (1976) Canon AE-1. For now, I love the grain and the weird focusing. It makes me feel oh-so-vintage.
